Hooray! Summer is here! School is out, we have at least an extra hour to playing outside. We need to make sure we are resting often when we are in heat. Try not to overdo activities.
With all this outdoor fun, sometimes it is hard to stay hydrated. If you are not a fan of plain water, here is some Fruit & Herbal Water Infusions ideas. Just cut or crush some fruit and or herbs into some water and shake a bit.
Fruit & Herbal Water Infusions
Fresh Spring Water, Distilled, Reverse Osmosis or Alkaline Water
Berries – Strawberries, Blackberries, Blueberries, Raspberries
Citrus – Lemon, Lime, Orange, Tangerine
Tropical – Pineapple, Passion Fruit, Mango, Papaya
Herbal – Rose Petals, Mint, Lavender, Chamomile, Ginger
Don’t forget to love your Belly! Sometimes hot food don’t digest as well in the hot months. My favorite Summer Time food to make is veggie wraps. Here are a few ideas for wrap recipes. I of course use Gluten Free ones like my Coconut Basil Wraps from my book. You can also use Brown Rice Wraps (if you aren’t sensitive to Rice), the Paleo Wrap, or even a Big Piece of Iceburg lettuce or Dark Kale or Collards by removing the stems. Serve with Fruit or Herb Infused Waters. Just chop up fresh fruit or herbs of your choice and sit in a picture of cold water.
