The Pisces Full Moon is aspecting FIVE different planets during this transit; Neptune, The Sun, Mars, Jupiter and Pluto. This is kind of a mystical chart with all the outer planet activity aspecting within 5 degrees of The Pisces Full Moon, which brings into question the duality between Virgo and Pisces, shedding light on our physical health, work and service here on earth and our spiritual health, work and service in other planes of consciousness. How can we better serve and be healthy through our spiritual and physical work? Escaping to a different reality with a creative activity like music or drawing or by way of intoxication with drugs and alcohol can be seen with the Piscean influence on The Moon, as well as its conjunction to Neptune which also amplifies this inebriating influence. Yes, the crazies could be on parade this weekend, many lost in the spaciness. Meditation, prayer, and other spiritual or metaphysical work can be especially useful during this time. Much energy will be accessible from this Full Moon, use it constructively and don’t let intense emotions overwhelm you.
The Moon and Neptune in Pisces oppose the Sun and Mars in Virgo, and all four planets are squared by Jupiter. This Zap with the thick red line is almost like a shocking electric chair horror movie clip or a chainsaw slashing of sorts! Break out Halloween decorations early for this illusionary and powerfully spiritual Friday the 13th Full Moon! Neptune, the planet of illusion, in its home sign of Pisces, is amped up with a spiritual emphasis and is only 4 degrees away from The Moon. All of this further intensified by the opposition from The Virgo Sun, which sheds light on the lesson of discernment to separate the wheat from the chaff during the harvest season. Virgo also teaches us to use our body’s health as a representation of the purity we uphold with our own body, mind and spirt. We choose our health habits and the discipline involved in keeping them refined.
Mars, the warrior planet, is conjunct The Sun in Virgo and is especially hot as it catches up to the sun and keeps cooking. This could cause some aggressive behavior and make us just want to punch the gas pedal, yet remain calm and navigate the Neptune fog from the opposition with consideration and focus. Mars will be in exact opposition to Neptune at 17 degrees during the Full Moon transit. Since Mars rules physical energy and Neptune often will suck the energy out of areas it aspects, we may feel a little more sluggish this full moon period and could be looking for extra physical energy. The Virgo New Moon last weekend involved a Uranus Trine that gave the green light to all things unorthodox and uncanny. Uranus takes a back seat this week, as Neptune drives this Full Moon and gives a green light to all things spiritual and metaphysical, just be cautious not to not space out and blow a red!
Jupiter’s square to Mars and Neptune really just throws some gasoline on the fire, and is kind of the lead foot that keeps the gas pedal pressing. Some of our belief systems may be tested as we watch people enveloped in the Jupiter-Neptune trance chase fantasies or fall prey to addiction or mental illness and create realities that are over the top or reveal shocking news. This year’s third and final square between Jupiter and Neptune was this Tuesday, September 10th, and links the moon to a greater theme of the year which started with a Jupiter-Neptune square in March, and a second in June. Disillusionment and deception, escapism or even impractical tendencies are some of the energies often involved with Jupiter- Neptune squares, and now that Jupiter has been direct almost a month, it is on its way to its near conjunction to the Huge Capricorn Lunar eclipse that will take place January 10th, 2020. Jupiter will enter Capricorn on December 2nd after about a year in its pioneering home sign of Sagittarius that took off and never looked back! We can use this particularly powerful Full Moon to connect to our inner guidance now, which will help us in managing our outer world as we look ahead to the massive solar eclipse that is approaching in January.
Pluto, the Lord of the Underworld, is in Capricorn and sextiles the Moon in Pisces while also aspecting a trine to The Sun in Virgo. This is transformative assistance from Pluto, and really gives us hope that there is a method to all the madness. We have great power in our ability to physically manifest our dreams with this energy. Hard work and discipline will be rewarded with Saturn in Capricorn trine The Sun, and this will be reviewed during the January eclipse period. So, start studying early and train diligently before the Big Exam just after the new year! Saturn will turn direct on Tuesday September 18th and this will aid to our manifestation ability. Use some of the enlightenment you gain from the inner work opportunities that this Pisces moon offers. Get ready to see Saturn not only wake up and gain power but expect more from us, especially in its home sign of Capricorn, which will likely add to the sternness and the importance to show up now. Assistance is available to us if we pay attention and take the offers given.
Mercury and Venus will leave Virgo and enter Libra only hours after the Full Moon is exact on Friday, and we will all start to really smell fall in the air. We may think and speak with more diplomacy and consideration of others with Mercury in Libra. We will love to love with Venus in its home sign, which is particularly artistic and social in its friendly Libran territory. It will feel nice to see the leaves start to change and the fall equinox enfold on September 23rd as the Sun enters libra, and we can work even more cooperatively with Saturn to build and strengthen our lives and move with the seasons of change.
How will you use the energy of the 2019 Pisces Full Moon?
Happy almost Fall!
